FAIRBANK & VINCENT WAS FOUNDED
in 1996 by two lawyers from the Los Angeles office of
Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher. We began with the goal to
develop a diversified litigation practice of the highest
quality, while fostering a work environment where both
attorneys and staff love what they do.
Now in our second decade, our attorneys offer more than 30 years of "big firm" training and experience to a
boutique practice focused on complex business disputes.
Our firm primarily represents companies, as plaintiff
or defendant, in a wide variety of litigation, including
breach of contract, fraud, competitive business torts,
securities and consumer class actions, shareholder derivative
actions, RICO cases, intellectual property, and employment
disputes. Our experience extends from pre-filing investigations
and analysis to trial and appellate advocacy, in both
state and federal court, as well as arbitration proceedings.
Our approach to litigation is distinguished in three important
respects:
PERSONAL ATTENTIOn. We carefully select
a relatively small portfolio of diversified cases, ensuring
that we can devote our personal attention to each matter
we take on. Our staffing is lean and the attorneys remain
accessible throughout the retention.
CREATIVE APPROACHES. We approach every
piece of litigation on its own merits, molding our strategy
to the specific priorities of our client. In business
litigation, “success” can be as much about
securing insurance coverage or preserving future relationships,
as obtaining summary judgment or a favorable jury verdict.
We understand how to prepare a case for victory at trial,
while simultaneously fostering relationships that maximize
the opportunity for early resolution.
EXTRAORDINARY RESULTS. Plaintiff and
defendant; federal and state court; simple breach of contract
to complex class action – we have consistently achieved
extraordinary results for our clients. Please see “Our
Clients” to find out what our former clients
have to say about our firm.
